I guess more like 3.5 stars.
I had fun, but the writing was mostly mediocre and frequently rubbish.
This was definitely more of a YA novel than I was expecting. That's not necessarily a problem, just something you should know going in. In some ways I think going for that demographic held it back, but it wasn't enough to really bother me.
Nice light Hunger Games-level fare I guess? Engaging but ultimately not as smart as it thinks it is. I might give the sequels a go at some point if I'm in the mood.
