See allI think the book perfectly represents the nightmare and corruption that dictatorship brings. It encapsulates real life events in the scope of a small farm. And with an ending that food you cannot just not read.
I don't think I know enough words to be able to describe what I just read. The closest thing I can even compare the story is that of a modern take on Alice in Wonderland. It presents the reader with a type of fantasy that isn't commonly found, because it ain't magic or wizardry. Everything is a Mish mash of nonsense that can be but together to create an entertaining piece of literature that I will never regret reading and will forever remember.
On a separate note mad respect for the abuse of Chekov's gun. Never have i ever seen a better use of it.
The plot was a mediocre mystery that didn't do much for me. By just reading the back I already figured out the plot twists. But the characters carry this entire book. They are perfectly written and have amazing development.
