If possible I would have given it a 3.5/5. The book was an experience for sure. While I belive it's hard to compare it to it's adversaries in the genre, I still belive it relatively well portrayed a the sad existences that lurk beneath the light of normality. While I would have preferred for it to be a little longer so that the reader can get more attached to the characters I also understand the necessity of the mystery behind who they are. Generally a good and quick read. Read with caution.
I don't think I know enough words to be able to describe what I just read. The closest thing I can even compare the story is that of a modern take on Alice in Wonderland. It presents the reader with a type of fantasy that isn't commonly found, because it ain't magic or wizardry. Everything is a Mish mash of nonsense that can be but together to create an entertaining piece of literature that I will never regret reading and will forever remember.
On a separate note mad respect for the abuse of Chekov's gun. Never have i ever seen a better use of it.
An unexpected ending to the series. All the build up finally pays off. As a person who new the story of the game known as Metro Exodus I was amazed by how he finished the story. The reveals, conspiracies and God knows what else. As this series ends my conviction that Dimitri will forever live in my heart as my favorite author.
It was honestly good and a fracture from what I expected from a sequel to Metro 2033. But it delivers and greatly expands the world of the book.
Best comedy book I have ever read, also the first one. Amazing and interactive plot, spaning over rwo different plot lines. I couldn't stop laughing.
A break of the convention sotry and an entirely different take on the post apocalypse genere. I really enjoyed it and think that it perfectly fills the hole Metro left in my heart.
The plot was a mediocre mystery that didn't do much for me. By just reading the back I already figured out the plot twists. But the characters carry this entire book. They are perfectly written and have amazing development.
I think the book perfectly represents the nightmare and corruption that dictatorship brings. It encapsulates real life events in the scope of a small farm. And with an ending that food you cannot just not read.
The Best book is have ever read. I honestly belive their won't be another book that I will enjoy as much. The story, the characters, the world. Everything is done perfectly and the only way to experience this fantasy is to read it.
